Account: A space’s own money account, where funds pooled in the space are held and paid out from. Account #: Your number as a customer. It ties together your orders and memberships. Admin: Runs an organization day to day. In a collective, admins are organizers; in a space the same level is Full access.B
Balance: The money you hold on the platform, ready to pay out. Balances lists them across your accounts. Billing: Where your invoices, earnings, payments and payouts live, grouped by order. Members find it under Plans & Billing. Board: A tool for organizing any work into cards and steps. A board linked to an order is that order’s plan. Booking: A session you’ve booked or been booked into. Bookings is the menu with your schedule, requests, orders and payments. Builder: The track for people building something. Builders can open a venture profile.C
Calendar: What’s open to book or register for. Booking something moves it to your schedule. Card: One piece of work on a board, broken into steps. Catalog: A published collection of services, projects and events to browse and share. Checkout: Where you pay for something you buy straight from a page. Client: Someone you work with. Your clients list shows each one with their orders. Collective: A branded community with its own members, spaces and features. Contract: The shared terms that bind people. You accept one when you join, a team agrees one to work together and every order has its terms. Contract #: The number on a contract. It’s how you refer to the relationship behind your orders. Credit invoice: The document for money given back on an invoice.D
Dealmaker: The track for people backing something. Dealmakers can open a funder profile.E
Earnings: What a seller keeps from a payment once the platform fee is taken. Sellers see it on the Earnings tab of Billing. Event: A gathering many people attend at a set time, like a meetup, workshop or talk. Experience: A conference or program: a set of events you get into with one pass. Expert: A member who offers sessions and services. Every member can open an expert profile.F
Feedback: A suggestion shared with a team. Members vote it up and hear back when it ships. Funder: A member who backs ventures. Funders have a funder profile.G
Goal: Something you’re working toward, tracked in the Goals tool. You break it into markers. Group: Members who come together around a shared purpose, like a builders’ circle or a regional chapter. Guest: A lighter collective membership. What guests can do is still being decided.H
Hub: The first page of every space, where its work starts. In marketing, your hub is where you work and your back office.I
Inbox: Where everything that needs your team arrives: requests, feedback, bookings and approvals. Invoice: A bill for an order, with its line items. Every payment comes with one.J
Journey: A path from where you are to where you’re going, with steps, branches and links to the next journey.L
Lead: Runs a group. A group can have several leads.M
Marker: A checkpoint inside a goal. Member: Someone who belongs to a collective. Members join spaces, book, request and share. Membership: Your place in a collective: your role, your tier and what it unlocks. Membership #: The number on your membership. Moderator: Triages a collective’s inbox and keeps conversations healthy.N
Note: Something you capture and keep, like an observation or a roadblock. It’s private until you share it.O
Object: A kind of thing you work with on Venture Collectives, like an order or a goal. Operator: The track for people growing something. Organizer: Runs a collective: its settings, features, members and spaces. Order: One deal and everything billed and paid for it, from a service to a ticket to a membership. Order #: The one reference for a deal. It’s on the order’s terms, invoices and payments. Owner: Holds a space or organization. In a collective, owners show as organizers.P
Page: The published, shareable page for a service, project or expert. Pass: Your access to a whole conference or program. Get it once, then register for the events you want. Payment: Money collected for an invoice, by card or bank. Payout: Money sent from your balance to your bank. Pitch: Your venture’s story, told block by block in the Pitches tool. Pitches is also a kind of project page, for an ongoing business or product line. Plan: The board an order is delivered on. The only other plans are subscription plans, like Start, Run and Expand. Portfolio: The ventures a collective tracks, and how they’re growing. Profile: Your record on Venture Collectives. Members, experts, ventures and funders each have one. Project: Something a member is building and showing the collective, like a launch, a pilot or a demo.R
Receipt: The seller’s document for a payout. Record: One object: your order, that goal. Refund: Money returned to a buyer, in whole or in part. Registration: Your seat at an event. Request: Something someone needs help with, sent to a team. It’s the first stage of every order.S
Schedule: Everything you’re on, in time order: what you’ve booked, registered for or host. Scorecards: Where your team ranks what to do next. Requests and feedback get scored and voted on. Service: Work you can buy from experts and teams, like a sprint, an advisory package or a single session. Session: A one to one booking with an expert. Signal: A record of something that happened, captured for you. Snapshot: A capture of where things stand at a point in time, so you can see progress. Space: The room where work happens, with its tools and people. Yours is My space; ventures, groups, projects and services have their own. Step: One move on a board card or a journey. Subscription: Something you pay for on a repeating schedule, like a membership or a retainer. It renews until you cancel. Subscription #: The number on a subscription. Its invoices number off it.T
